Six fairy
tales for grown ups written in response to Angela Carter's The Bloody
Chamber (1979), in all of these stories the male characters are
simple, true and long suffering and the only villains are female. Books
are variously decorated with with either lino-cuts, etchings or monoprints.
One of the stories, The Girl Who Loved Her Hair More Than Life,
has been reproduced in a book of its own. |
