A paper sculpture fairy tale for grown ups, telling the salutory tale of a girl who values her looks over everything else. Written in part as a response to the Angela Carter book The Bloody Chamber (1979), in which she rewrote some classic fairy tales giving them a feminist twist. This tale previously appeared in Hairy Stories (1996).
